Restoring Water Access in Jorsalla Community

In Jorsalla, Namobuddha-4, Kavre, the water system built after the 2015 earthquake by NCRS in partnership with SPN was severely damaged by the September 2024 floods and landslides, leaving the community with a critical water shortage. With support from NCRS and Samaritan’s Purse International, the intake system, tank, and tap stands were quickly rebuilt. The restored system now provides reliable access to clean water for over 100 households, with even neighbouring villagers benefiting. A Local resident, Mr. Kamal Bahadur Chimoriya, Vice Principal of Shree Sansaridevi Basic School, including local authorities and the community expressed deep gratitude for the timely support. Each day, 60-70 people collect water from the tap, which has been a great help for the community.
