Chandrakala Pariyar

Chandkala Periyar, a resident of Gathera, Triveni Rural Municipality Ward No. 3 of Rukum West District, is now 37 years old. In the family, there are two daughters, mother, father, her husband and she has a family of 6 people. Her daughters are studying in a government school. She shared that due to poverty husband went aboard (Malaysia) for the job, I have a small sewing center in the village and have some goats too. That is not fulfilling the basic needs of the family. For 8 years we have been doing goat rearing but there is no benefit due to the traditional goat rearing system. Ward 3 selected her as a participant for 3 days commercial goat rearing training organized by Nepal Christian Relief Service in Triveni Rural Municipality. During the training period she was aware of taking care of goats, balanced food management, housing system of goat farming, care and management of pregnant parturition, mature kids and neonatal kids Goats and management of breeding system in Goat. She not only gained knowledge but received a goat from the NCRS so she was excited and happy to do something at home. Now she has five goats and two male goats at home and takes good care them. She has also insured the goat to reduce the risk.  After training, she is currently doing goat rearing and sewing work too. And she was happy to be participating in the training and had the opportunity to learn many things about goat rearing and so she thanked the NCRS and everyone who helped her.
