A 55-year old aged woman from Chepare village, Aathbiskot-14 Rukum (West) felt sudden tremor in deep sleep on 03 November night. She realized the quake when the roof crumbled and fell upon her.
She shares, “When I was awake, neighbors were taking me out of the rubble and found that I had lost my 2 grandchildren and daughter-in law. I should have died instead God took away my support for old age. Life of the survivor likes me is hard here. I urge and requested to provide immediate winter relief aid for the children and elderly as winter has already arrived and it is getting colder and colder each day. Now I have received a relief package including mattress, blankets and p-foam from NCRS which met my immediate needs.”
There are hundreds of people like Laxmi (name changed) who are going through this heart-wrenching life situation. These people are in great need of food, warm clothes, and shelter.
