Makamaya Tamang lives with her two sons in Kolgang ward 4, Kispang Rural Municipality Nuwakot. Her family has endured unimaginable loss.
Six months ago, she lost her daughter who lived in Trisuli bazar, and had just completed her higher studies examination. The circumstances surrounding her daughter’s death remain unclear, leaving Makamaya with unanswered questions and deep grief.
Her husband later left for work in Timmure, hoping to earn enough to support the family. But he has since gone missing after the Rasuwa Flash floods. Despite attempts to contact the contractor and search for him, Makamaya has received no news.
Today, she is left to care for her two sons alone. Her elder son has a disability and cannot speak, while her younger son is still in school.
“I don’t know what to do. I am alone, and my disabled son needs support,” Makamaya says.
Amid grief, uncertainty and hardship, she continues to hope that her husband will be found and that her family can once again have some sense of security. For Makamaya, hope is all she has left.
The Relief supplies of Tarpaulin, Kitchen Kit and Hygiene Kit are of best use during this time but her grief is immeasurable.
